Design for lifecycle - through design to a circular product!

There is no way of avoiding a circular economy in the future. But realising it means overcoming a variety of major challenges: which prerequisites will companies have to fulfill in order to achieve the transition from a linear to a circular value chain? How can design be applied as a methodical and creative solution?

KONTEXT Annual 2020 will present options for action, call for and encourage multidisciplinary dialogue in order to create lasting value in the circular economy – and give you the necessary creative confidence for reshaping the world around you.

KONTEXT Annual 2020 will focus on the product life-cycle based on a variety of practice-related examples.

Business models will be required that enable producers, retailers and consumers to join forces in taking action to bring about a circular economy: through orientation, encouragement, dialogue and networking with collaborative potential. Participate in this year’s annual KONTEXT event and join representatives from the research and industry sectors in discussing the open questions relating to the creation of an environmentally compatible economy.

All presentations will be held in English and recorded on video. Information about Swiss Textiles covid-19 protection concept can be found below
