This week, Switzerland is starting to gradually emerge from the national lockdown. However, the initial easing of restrictions in Switzerland cannot conceal the fact that this crisis has given rise to severe consequences – and will continue to do so. Around 80 percent of our members’ products are exported. Our international network has once again demonstrated its strength in the face of this crisis.

At the time this year’s Annual Report went to press in April, the impacts of the crisis were still unclear. And we still do not know today what the future will hold for us all. The world has changed. Nothing will be the same.

We will remain flexible and focus on supporting our members. We will support you all with our various services and continue to lobby for political interests. During the crisis, many have again demonstrated their innovative potential, whether in the form of original ideas in order to develop new approaches or focusing on innovative processes and technologies for the production of protective textiles.

The main focus of the 2019/2020 Annual Report is on sustainability. Despite the current crisis we are firmly convinced that sustainability is the right and key answer for our industry.

I hope you will find our report both interesting and informative.
