(CONNECT) The Swiss fashion house Akris from St.Gallen has shared the news that the world premiere of the documentary by film director Reiner Holzemer will take place in June 2025 and released the official trailer. The film “AKRIS – Fashion With a Heritage” follows brothers Albert, creative director, and Peter Kriemler, president, who are the third generation to run the Swiss fashion house. The documentary film is also an Official Selection in the Features Category of the 2025 Tribeca X Award Competition at the 24th Tribeca Festival in New York.

The film reportedly offers insights into their creative processes, from fabric sourcing in Milan to Paris Fashion Week, and the craftsmanship of the Kriemler brothers. Through a combination of archival material and personal insights, audiences can look behind the scenes and discover how three generations of the Kriemler family have shaped one of fashion’s last independent houses.

Also featured in the film are Princess Charlène of Monaco, architects David Chipperfield and Sou Fujimoto, artist Thomas Ruff, and fashion critics Nicole Phelps and Valerie Steele.

Akris plans on soon sharing the details on where the documentary will be shown in full. ce/nta
