The Swiss textile and clothing industry is a dynamic cluster for textile solutions. To ensure that its SMEs continue to thrive in the future, a united voice, in-depth knowledge and strong connections are essential. Swiss Textiles creates the conditions for this.

Here’s why membership is worthwhile:

Making informed decisions

To enable SMEs to focus on their day-to-day business, we take on part of their information management: Swiss Textiles filters industry-relevant content, consolidates it and presents it clearly in one place.

In the members’ area, members can select categories, languages, webinars and events according to their needs and subscribe to the newsletter. This ensures they receive targeted information that is crucial to their day-to-day operations – such as decisions, regulations and legislative changes.

Member information plays a central role; according to a recent survey, it ranks among the most valuable channels of communication between the association and its members, alongside advisory services. It provides details on topics from the selected category, such as the latest information on decisions, regulations and legislative changes.

In addition, our website provides industry news, articles on trends and events, as well as dossiers on current topics.

Acting with expertise

To enable members to act and make decisions competently: our experts provide comprehensive advice via email, by telephone or in person at their premises – covering everything from employment law and trade mark protection to customs, education and sustainability.

Finding the right partners

Gaining new perspectives: Whether in Switzerland or across Europe, Swiss Textiles connects its members with one another and brings them together with partners from research, business, politics and other sectors. This includes the annual summit, regular round-table discussions and international business delegations.

Furthermore, members benefit from access to research projects and collaborations in various fields.

Exerting influence together

To ensure the concerns of the Swiss textile and clothing industry are heard in the political debate: at our annual parliamentary event in Bern, we foster direct dialogue between the textile industry, politicians and government officials.

Internationally, too, we advocate for open market access, free trade agreements and strong trade relations – including through economic delegations and our membership of Euratex, the European industry association.

Knowing early on what is changing

To ensure members can respond in good time: we monitor long-term trends and future developments in science, technology, the economy, trade and the circular economy. Together with international experts, we analyse these trends and derive practical insights for the textile and clothing sector. One example of this is our well-established Innovation Day.
