Switzerland is a dynamic, future-orientated cluster for textile solutions with national and global impact - that is our vision.
Our members are at the centre. These are over 260 nationally and internationally orientated SMEs. Their field of activity ranges from textile chemistry and mechanical engineering to research and development and textile recycling. They manufacture or sell directly to consumers and companies.
We network their knowledge and expertise. We provide answers to their questions and represent their interests. With its activities and operations, Swiss Textiles strengthens the competitiveness of the textile cluster in Switzerland. And is globally orientated.
It brings together research, development, entrepreneurship and education and training institutions. They all work closely together and form a single unit.
Non-toxic membranes for outdoor clothing, blood filters in medical technology, textile geothermal probes and recyclable recycling processes. Today, these innovations made in Switzerland go far beyond production alone. Our industry develops, researches and offers textile solutions and makes a significant contribution to overcoming challenges around the world.
Swiss Textiles is itself embedded in a broad network of sister and business organisations, chambers of commerce and research institutions. Locally, nationally and internationally. The industry association is also a sponsor of the STS 2030 initiative and initiator of the Fabric Loop association.
Our members also benefit from these partnerships, memberships and contacts. In the form of expanded expertise and new business opportunities.
We offer our members a wide range of activities and services.
The General Assembly consists of the members and is the supreme body of the association. It approves the accounts, discharges the Board of Directors, decides on the budget and sets the membership fees. The General Assembly elects the members of the Board of Directors, the President, the Treasurer and the Auditors.
The Board determines the strategy and budget of Swiss Textiles and ensures that they are implemented. It decides on the admission of new members and represents the interests of members in external institutions.
The employees of the office manage the operational business of the association. It can convene working groups - consisting of members and external experts - to work on specific topics.
