(CONNECT) Alumo, a Swiss cotton fabrics manufacturer, has unveiled its spring-summer collection for 2027. According to a statement, the collection was created for designers looking for high-quality fabrics for summer shirts. The new collection includes the fabrics Giro Light, Centolino, Soyella Arte, Zephir, Zephirlino, Avellino, and Avellino Cord.

Giro Light is a fine fabric with a soft texture and light drape, making it ideal for airy summer shirts, writes the statement. Centolino is quite different, characterized by a linen-like texture and a matte finish. Meanwhile, combining the Zephir and Soyella Arte fabrics gives garments “subtle depth and country-chic sophistication”, according to the collection description. It describes Avellino Cord together with Zephirlino as reminiscent of a fine cord structure that is suitable for shirts blending tradition with modern comfort. The classic Avellino fabric is also back, now available in new colors.

“Together, these fabrics form a harmonious collection that celebrates lightness, fluid movement and understated luxury,” writes Alumo on its website. The company presented the new collection at the Italian textile fair Milano Unica from 20 to 22 January. ce/nta
