(CONNECT) Ammeraal Beltech AG is planning to invest in modern production technologies at its Rapperswil-Jona site in 2026. According to a statement from the process and conveyor belt manufacturer, modernization will include the installation of a modular double belt press from the Austrian plant manufacturer Berndorf Band Engineering.

The modular design of the press allows heating and cooling modules as well as different press types to be flexibly combined for maximum adaptability to specific requirements. This enables complex processes to be efficiently implemented in a single production line. With temperatures of up to 400 degrees Celsius and variable surface pressure, a wide variety of fiber-reinforced composites can be continuously manufactured in the future.

According to the statement, construction of the new press is scheduled to begin in April 2026. A test phase is then planned between July and September, before regular operation starts in October 2026. With this investment, Ammeraal Beltech says it is expanding its production capacity, increasing additional growth opportunities in various industries, and strengthening its market position. Ammeraal Beltech is part of Ammega, which is based in Heerhugowaard in the Netherlands. ce/ww
