Langenthal/Paris - Création Baumann is among more than 150 textile companies that will be presenting new collections at Paris Déco Off from January 14 in dedicated showrooms dotted along the Seine. (CONNECT) Création Baumann, the textile company based in Langenthal in the Swiss canton of Bern, will be presenting its new collection “Hommage – A Love Story Between Past and Future” at Paris Déco Off from January 14 to 17 for the first time in one of more than 100 showrooms on the left and right banks of the Seine between Rue du Mail and Place Saint-Sulpice. According to a statement, the collection will be celebrating its international premiere at this free trade fair for luxury decor trends.

As the family company from Langenthal outlines in its statement, the new collection combines nearly 140 years of heritage with a contemporary interpretation of design and craftmanship. The collection is accordingly to be seen as a tribute to the company’s own archives and its distinctive design tradition.

The “Hommage” collection of home textiles comprises 11 new fabrics and one cushion as an accessory. The designs are inspired by the 1960s and 1970s. The Vibe, Joy, Piero und Ortella fabrics capture the feeling of “Flower Power” with a contemporary lightness, Création Baumann states. The Grida, Perla and Onda twisted weaves offer a sense of structure, material presence and precision, while the plain fabrics Lido, Riva and Vibe Two place an emphasis on depth and coarsely structured surfaces, semi-transparent variants with mélange effects and double-sided printing techniques featuring surprising light combinations. ce/mm
