(CONNECT) The home textiles brand Lavie, which belongs to Balsiger Textil from Langenthal in the Swiss canton of Bern, and Swiss textile designer Claudia Caviezel are presenting their joint project “Entre Nous”. The limited-edition bed linen design with its large printed motif is designed to evoke the poetry of the unfinished and capture the raw beauty of the creative process, according to a statement from Lavie. Sketchy silk patterns cut out on the bed linen were designed to give impact to the artistic statement, writes Lavie.
The limited edition duvet covers are available in sizes 160 x 210 centimeters and 200 x 210 centimeters, while the Entre Nous pillowcases come in sizes 50 x 70 centimeters, 65 x 65 centimeters, and 65 x 100 centimeters.
Lavie is presenting the limited edition design as part of the Scissors, Wood and Textiles exhibition during Zurich Design Weeks from 4 to 13 September. The vernissage will take place at 6pm on 4 September at Neumarkt 17 in Zurich.
Entre Nous marks the second time Lavie has teamed up with Claudia Caviezel, who previously designed the AizomeCollection for the brand. The textile designer, winner of the Swiss Design Award and the Swiss Grand for Design, creates pieces combining traditional craft techniques and digital design. In her work, which ranges from fashion and interior textiles to large-scale installations in public spaces, she seeks to create sensual, precise, and experimental textile imagery.
Lavie covers the entire range of bed, bath, and living room products. The brand produces its home textiles from linen, organic cotton, and hemp and has been GOTS-certified (Global Organic Textiles Standard) since 2019. ce/ja
