(CONNECT) Mammut, the outdoor specialists based in Seon in the canton of Aargau, Switzerland, has launched a photo competition, through which the company is calling on nature lovers from around the world to send in their most spectacular and beautiful photos, as detailed in a press release. An expert jury will assess the submitted photos in accordance with six categories, such as Landscapes & Base Camps, Favorite Locations, Unforgettable Encounters with People or Animals, Hidden Natural Gems and Culinary Outdoor Moments, in addition to the exclusive Instagram category of Check-In Early.
Prizes worth 12,000 euros will be awarded to the winners. In addition to the photo competition, Mammut is launching a global treasure hunt, where outdoor items in the amount of 60,000 euros overall are up for grabs. These hidden caches of gear are being stashed away at secret spots by outdoor specialists, including Adam Ondra, Jérémie Heitz, Brendan Carberry, Lena Drapella and Katie Burrell.
The photo competition is running until July 15, 2025. Participation in the treasure hunt is not a precondition to submit an entry for the photo competition. The finalists and overall winner of the photo competition will be announced at the end of August on Mammut’s website. ce/ww
