(CONNECT) Roger Federer is being inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame. To celebrate this achievement, the Swiss athletic footwear brand On launched a special edition shoe as part of THE ROGER Collection on the market on August 25, 2026. THE ROGER Centre Court – International Tennis Hall of Fame Edition is designed to pay tribute to the successes of the former tennis professional, as On writes in a statement. The special edition builds on and refines the existing ROGER Centre Court shoe and is limited to 20,000 pairs globally.

The aim was to create something “effortlessly understated – a piece of living tennis culture that gives everyone wearing it the feeling of stepping onto the grass”, as Federer explains in the statement. The design drew inspiration from the outfits Federer himself wore at Wimbledon, in addition to his signature silhouette. Aesthetically, the shoe features a refined ivory and fern colorway, whereby golden accents and subtle green details adorn the white upper. These are replicated on the packaging used for shipping. At Federer’s request, the shoe includes a grass-colored sockliner, while a golden International Tennis Hall of Fame badge on the heel commemorates the Swiss legend’s legacy. This special edition of THE ROGER Centre Court is exclusively available online and comes in special packaging featuring a “personal message from Roger Federer inside the lid”.

In parallel with the launch of the special edition shoe, On and Federer presented “The Boy from Basel” as a campaign film, which looks back on the career of the ex-tennis pro. It was filmed in Basel, with the focus said to be on the dream “that started it all”. On and Roger Federer have been working together since 2019. ce/heg
