(CONNECT) Remei AG from Rotkreuz in the Swiss canton of Zug and the Berlin-based fashion label Lotta Ludwigson have presented a new t-shirt collection. The women’s tops are made from 100 percent organic cotton, as detailed in a statement.
The LUMA collection combines the principles of the circular economy with supply chain transparency, starting with smallholding farmers in Tanzania and India who are responsible for growing the cotton all the way through to textile production in Switzerland. The products are traceable via a digital label at mytrace.ch.
“Remei provides the transparency, Lotta Ludwigson the emotion. Together we show that aesthetics and responsibility are not opposites”, as Marion Röttges, co-CEO of Remei AG, comments in the statement. Charlotte Piller, founder of Lotta Ludwigson, shares this view: “This collaboration shows how shared values can create impact across generations, company sizes and borders”. ce/eb
