At the reopening of the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, the St. Gallen embroidery company Forster Willi played its part in ensuring that “all eyes were on” the South African soprano Pretty Yende during this celebratory event, as detailed in a press release issued by the embroidery producer owned by Forster Rohner AG. Pretty Yende appeared at the event wearing a Dior creation embellished with embroidery designed by Forster Willi.

Founded in 1904, Forster Rohner AG is active in the production of embroidery for haute couture and prêt-à-porter pieces made by world renowned designers, as the company explains. According to the information, the Design Studio creates four collections per year with embroidery designs.

It was only in October that Forster Rohner was invited to become the exclusive embroidery partner for the return of the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in New York. For the first time, the family business based in St.Gallen was responsible for all embroidery and textile accessories worn by the models who took to the catwalk.

According to information from the company itself, Forster products are manufactured at proprietary production facilities in Switzerland, Romania and Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as China. The Forster Group comprises the following companies: Forster Rohner AG with the Forster Rohner Lingerie and Forster Willi divisions, the fabric manufacturer Jakob Schlaepfer AG in St.Gallen, Inter-Spitzen AG with production sites in Romania, Bionic Composite Technologies AG (BIONTEC) and Globe Tex AG. ce/gba
