Every employer is obliged to ensure safety in the workplace and to protect the health of its employees. For some, the law prescribes specific tasks and procedures. Within the industry solution, members of Swiss Textiles receive practical support. Membership is free of charge. Why it's not just worth it.

Whether in manufacturing, logistics or garment production: Members of Swiss Textiles can join the industry solution "Occupational health and safety in the Swiss textile and clothing industry (EKAS No. 07)" free of charge. The association aims to help companies fulfil their legal obligations and keep up to date with the latest developments.

Your benefits from the industry solution

  • Compliance obligation fulfilled: By becoming a member, you automatically fulfil the legal requirement in accordance with EKAS Guideline 6508 (Chapter 5). It regulates the deployment of occupational physicians and occupational safety specialists.
  • Practical documents included: You receive access to industry-specific checklists and forms that make it easier to implement EKAS No. 07 in everyday life.
  • Learning to assess hazards in the workplace: Companies with production or logistics facilities must train a safety officer. The Swiss Textile College STF in Winterthur offers the Safety Officer (Sibe) course. The two-day training course is recognised by Suva and takes place once a year. In addition to environmental protection requirements, the focus is on industry-specific checklists, correct risk assessment, appropriate behaviour in the event of accidents, first aid and many other topics. Register here.
  • Exchange of experience: The organised industry meeting is a legally recognised further training course for safety officers and takes place once a year. Here you will find other industry-relevant training courses recognised by the Swiss Society for Occupational Safety SGAS.
  • Extra: At least once a year, our occupational safety officer (ASA) and the safety engineer carry out an audit or a company check at a member company. If you would like to make your company available free of charge, please contact us.
