Maybaum Film, a video and advertising film producer from Baden in the canton of Aargau, has produced a film about the textile floor covering Kugelgarn, which is manufactured exclusively in Schmitten in the canton of Fribourg, Switzerland, by Fabromont AG, further details of which can be found in a press release. In many cases, it is practically impossible to imagine offices, schools and public buildings without this distinct flooring, which came onto the market in the 1980s after 20 years of development.

The current image campaign “Inspired by People” includes the film and three cut-downs for social media networks that link to the new website. The film, which has a run time of just under two minutes, will be distributed primarily via the new website and promoted via social media advertising in Switzerland, Germany and the Netherlands. According to the press release, the Zurich-based advertising agency agor kommunikation & design and Maybaum Film were commissioned to realize the campaign together.

For the first time in the history of Fabromont AG, a film crew was granted access to the production facilities, as the press release states further. Since the production process is still shrouded in secrecy, the film had to focus on other subject matters in terms of a concept. As such, the film puts Kugelgarn users - an architect, floor fitter and building owner - into the spotlight.

“I have never really considered just how important flooring is for our wellbeing. It was fascinating to immerse myself in a world that we otherwise only deal with by walking on it”, comments Michel Frutig, Creative Director at Maybaum Film.

“For me, Fabromont AG is an exciting example of how a Swiss SME combines tradition and modernity to achieve long-term success. There is no doubt that this film has done a great job of showcasing this in an interesting and informative way”, states Eduard Ulli, consultant at agor kommunikation & design. ce/gba
