(CONNECT) RUCKSTUHL from the canton of Bern has received original designs from the Edition-H archive, which serve as the basis for the new Collection Trix and Robert Haussmann by Ruckstuhl. Four of these works have now been adapted into this special edition developed in close collaboration with Trix Haussmann.
As the company explains, the designs were personally curated by her “to authentically preserve the design principles and creative depth of this visionary duo and bring them to life in a new way”. The Zurich-based Edition-H has been managing the copyright and usage rights to the Swiss architect couple’s design work since 2025, enabling their collection of furniture, textiles and objects to be reissued in collaboration with renowned manufacturers.
The carpets in this collection are named Atlantis, Dégradé, Stripes Round and Stripes Square. According to a company statement, they are produced “as a novelty in the interior design industry” using 60 percent color-sorted used textiles and 40 percent virgin wool that is “currently sourced from Holland/Germany, but perhaps in future from Switzerland”.
In terms of raw materials, the carpet manufacturer is working with the designers Isabel Rosa Müggler and Marc Zumstein. Their two Zurich-based companies, Circular Living and Tiger Liz Textiles, have been producing circular textiles for architecture, interior design and the fashion industry since 2022 and for 15 years respectively, using the highest possible proportion of recycled resources at all times. Circular Living collaborates with various producers with the aim of creating circular material flows and recycling processes.
The Collection Trix and Robert Haussmann by Ruckstuhl will also feature NFT (non-fungible token) technology, including a product passport and care instructions. As RUCKSTUHL explains, this creates an “iconic Swiss design with new technology and recycled wool all in one”. ce/mm
