Jacob Rohner expands retail store in Balgach

(CONNECT) Jacob Rohner AG has reopened the Rohner Shop in Balgach following an expansion and renovation. The additional retail space of approximately 190 square meters provides more room for the brand’s own sock collection, as well as products from other manufacturers, including Mammut, Switcher, Dreifeder, Lavana, and Schneider Shoes. Products from Blacksocks are also stocked. Rohner had acquired the Zurich-based sock manufacturer in September 2023 and retained the Blacksocks brand name.

In line with all this, Rohner now offers shoes for everyday wear, leisure, and outdoor activities, as well as functional clothing, underwear, and home textiles for women, men, and children, in addition to its own collections. “With this expansion, Jacob Rohner AG is strengthening its retail presence in Balgach and creating a broader selection for the region,” the company said in a statement.

The grand opening was attended by employees, former team members, and family members, as well as brand and B2B partners, contractors involved in the renovation, and members of the Board of Directors. CEO Hermann Lion, Board Chairman Benno Gmür, and Balgach Mayor Urs Lüchinger addressed the attendees. The program also included a tour of the facility and a reception. ce/mm
