(CONNECT) The fashion chain Nile now operates 19 stores across Switzerland, with locations in Thun and then Solothurn having recently been added to the company’s network. As the company, which is headquartered near to Biel in the canton of Bern explained when opening the new store in Solothurn, the new shops also feature the typical Nile design: “light and inviting, with elements of aged wood and brass”.
Shortly prior to this, the company had opened its new Thun location. Each new store gives the fashion chain the opportunity to further develop its shop concept, which, as Nile explained at the Thun opening, is a process coordinated internally. For example, the two newest locations feature brass checkout counters for the first time. Nile emphasizes that these have been locally produced. The same goes for all of the wooden furniture, which is custom-made by a carpentry firm based in the Thun region.
Moreover, Nile has announced that further new stores are to be opened over the coming weeks. In Germany, the company operates shops in eight cities.
Nile was founded in 1983. Each year, the company designs four collections at its proprietary studio in Sutz in the canton of Bern, Switzerland. The brand places an emphasis on sustainability, which is reflected in a preference for the use of natural, environmentally friendly materials such as organic cotton and linen, in addition to recycled fibers. Moreover, according to the information, many products are certified in line with the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS). ce/mm
