Catarina Dahlin has reached the final round of Founder of the Year Medium Size Companies according to an announcement by the organizer, Sweden’s Founders Alliance. The jury stated that this “deserved recognition” for the Co-founder and Co-CEO of the Zurich-based company Dagsmejan “shines a spotlight on her exceptional entrepreneurial journey,” adding that this “underscores the profound impact founders have on society.” The winners will be announced in Stockholm on September 20 at the end of the Founders World Summit.

Dagsmejan was founded in 2016 and develops comfortable, temperature-regulating sleepwear together with leading scientists in the areas of sleep research (Stockholm University), materials science (Swiss Federal Laboratories for Materials Science and Technology), and textile ergonomics (University of Lucerne). Dagsmejan has established itself globally as a premium brand for functional sleepwear and has achieved sales of 12 million Swiss francs since the market launch in 2018.

According to information from the export promoter Switzerland Global Enterprise (S-GE), its export quota is 65 percent. Now Dagsmejan plans to further strengthen its presence in the German-speaking and English-speaking core markets as well as the markets in China, the Middle East, and French-speaking regions. Dagsmejan has been the exclusive outfitter of the national Swiss ice hockey team since 2021.

In March 2023, Catarina Dahlin was named Entrepreneur of the Year by the Swiss Economic Forum. Dagsmejan was also nominated for Switzerland Global Enterprise’s Export Award as one of three finalists in April 2023. ce/mm
