(CONNECT) The Lantal Group from Langenthal in the canton of Bern has issued a statement to announce a changing of the guard at the top of the company. With effect from the start of 2026, Luzius Rickenbacher takes over operational management in the role of CEO. Together with the existing management team, his remit will be focused on driving the strategic and operational development of the textile company. Former CEO Urs Rickenbacher retains ownership of the company and will continue to serve as a member of the Management Board.
Urs Rickenbacher played a crucial role in shaping Lantal across more than two decades. “With his visionary entrepreneurial spirit and foresight, and huge personal passion, he successfully led the long-standing Swiss company with a rich tradition through challenging times”, according to the statement. By handing the management reins to his nephew, Luzius Rickenbacher, the aim is to ensure that Lantal’s values, innovative strength and entrepreneurial spirit all continue to be upheld.
Luzius Rickenbacher has been working for the company for more than a decade. As head of the aviation business, he was responsible for advancing core innovation and transformation projects together with his team. These include, among others, the development and market launch of the DIGITAL DEEP DYEING technology, which won the Swiss Technology Award in 2023.
The Lantal Group was founded in 1886 and has specialized in the area of aircraft interiors since 1954. With around 600 employees, Lantal offers integrated solutions for airplanes, trains and buses. The company serves national and international customers including SWISS, the flag carrier of Switzerland, Swiss Federal Railways (SBB), Emirates and Airbus. ce/nta
