(CONNECT) ISA Sallmann AG is to be honored with this year’s AWG Recognition Prize. This is presented by the Thurgau Working Group for Business and Society, which is the economic forum of the "Mitte" party. The Recognition Award acknowledges individuals and companies that have made economic or social contributions to Thurgau. The award recipients do not necessarily have to have a Christian Democrat background, as can be seen from several of the winners in the past.

Founded in 1849 as a jersey manufacturer, ISA Sallmann produces high-quality bodywear, including daywear, nightwear and loungewear for women, men and children alike. The family business is run by Thomas and Christian Sallmann in the seventh generation of the family. After reaching the age of 65, Andreas Sallmann had transferred management responsibility for the company to them and long-time CFO Jürg Keel at the end of 2021.

The award ceremony and associated program of events is set to take place on December 9, 2025, at ISA Sallmann in Amriswil in the canton of Thurgau. Anyone interested in attending can register online. The plans include a tour of the business premises with Thomas and Christian Sallmann before the ceremony. Afterwards, aperitifs are to be served in the carriage collection of the former CEO Robert Sallmann, who passed away in 2017. This publicly accessible and arguably the largest private collection of carriages, wagons, sleighs and carts in the whole of Switzerland has been expanded by his descendants to include exhibits from the wheelwright and saddlery workshops, as well as a blacksmith’s workshop. ce/mm
