Alumo AG, a manufacturer of high-quality cotton fabrics based in Herisau in the canton of Appenzell Ausserrhoden, is presenting its new Spring/Summer 2025 collection. Alumo’s 2025 collection places an emphasis on offering fabrics for shirts that are equally suitable for work, home, outdoors and everywhere in between, further details of which can be found in a press release. The fabrics are characterized by bold tones, understated print patterns and playful contrasts, as the company explains in the press release, and have all been designed with hot days and balmy evenings in mind.

Alumo is presenting a total of nine new two-tone designs as part of the Superior range, which takes blue as its primary tone to create a contrast against beige or orange elements. The Seerluxe fabric combines clean stripes with a lightweight finish. The Supranova line offers durable fabrics based on the company’s tried-and-tested product Supraluxe to create a colorful fabric that exudes quality, with a weft of yarn-dyed Ne 95/1 cotton, the press release explains further. The 100-percent linen Centolino fabric is now available in a wide range of colors, while the Zephyrlino fabric, which consists of 68 percent cotton and 32 percent linen, is perfectly suited to warmer weather with its orange, raspberry red and cyan tones.

Earlier this year, Alumo showcased this collection at Milano Unica, one of the largest trade fairs for high-end textiles and accessories in Europe, from January 30 through to February 1.

Founded in 1918 in Grüningen in the canton of Zurich, the company has been working with Cilander in Herisau since the 1990s, and has been a wholly owned subsidiary of Cilander since 2021. According to a separate press release, textile production operations at AG Cilander are set to be discontinued by the end of August 2024. ce/gba
