Création Baumann, the room textiles specialist based in Langenthal in the canton of Bern, is expanding its portfolio of acoustic textiles. With its new Acoustic Stripes collection, the company is seeking to create a contemporary design for working and private spaces, further details of which can be found in a press release. These textile bars, which are arranged in classic slat shapes, are not only intended to create new room acoustics, but also offer the opportunity to configure individual and flexible interior areas. The Acoustic Stripes are made of sound-absorbing fibers, which offer optimal sound insulation properties. However, they can also be used for privacy and to protect against glare. The slats are individually adjustable and can be set to be open or twisted closed, which facilitates both open-plan and sectioned-off room designs.

The slats are made of 7-millimeter thick, flame-retardant polyester with a mottled look. Customers can choose from a total of ten standard colorways, ranging from bright red to calming shades of blue and green, the press release explains. Individual color designs can additionally be agreed with customers.

Acoustic Stripes are part of the comprehensive Création Baumann portfolio, which also includes the soundproofing ACOUSTIC DIVIDER VARIO system. The new collection is available from the fall of 2023 and is set to be showcased at the Architect@Work series of trade fair shows in the German cities of Hamburg, Stuttgart and Düsseldorf. ce/ww
