The clothing brand Nikin known for its tree planting initiative is collaborating with the ice hockey club from Ambri in the Swiss canton of Ticino. According to a press release from Hockey Club Ambri-Piotta (HCAP) and Nikin on LinkedIn, the partnership will span the next three seasons. Nikin advertises that it promises to plant a tree for every product sold. The webpage for the company founded in 2016 and located in Lenzburg in the canton of Aargau states that more than 2.1 million trees have been planted worldwide already.
Nikin has positioned itself as a family-led, grounded company standing up for nature according to the club’s website. HCAP is said to completely support these values and share Nikin’s vision of a future geared toward sustainability and environmental friendliness. The two partners are convinced that the agreement will be able to raise their level of awareness in Switzerland.
According to the press release, Nikin, which specializes in leisure fashion, and HCAP plan to design products together that can be obtained both in the store at Gottardo Arena and also online.
