The H&M Group is bringing its Arket and & Other Stories brands to Switzerland. Both brands will move into the former Manor building on Zurich’s Bahnhofstrasse in the fall according to an article in the Neue Zürcher Zeitung. The article states that Arket’s future presence on Bahnhofstrasse has been known since April, but the Swedish clothing company has only just confirmed to Tamedia-Zeitungen that & Other Stories will also move into the building.
The H&M Group identifies Arket and & Other Stories as high-end brands. & Other Stories was brought to market in 2013 and has 70 stores. Arket was created in 2017 and currently has a total of 27 shops.
The Manor department store moved out of the building in 2020 after 35 years. The building has three sections and occupies Bahnhofstrasse numbers 75, 77, and 79. Numbers 75 and 79 are owned by the life insurance company Swiss Life. Swiss Life runs these parts of the building under the name Brannhof. They are currently being renovated. According to a press release from Swiss Life in spring, businesses such as Massimo Dutti and Lush are also among the new renters. Additionally, Teuscher will also move into Brannhof with Café Felix. The retail premises will be gradually opened in the fall. ce/ssp
