Journey Living has launched the Morocco Collection. The new Spring/Summer collection of bed linen has been inspired by impressions of Morocco gained by the Journey Living design team during a trip through the North African country. Moreover, the brand, which is owned by Balsiger Textil, has entered into a partnership with the Zurich-based label Yoomee, further details of which can be found in a press release.
The richly ornamented architecture of the royal city of Marrakech has been reflected in the designs of the Marrakech line of bed linen available as part of the Morocco Collection. Pastel-hued sunsets provided the inspiration for the Bellecour rose bed linen, while the sheer vastness of the desert inspired the Sahara range of printed, fine satin bed linens.
The materials for the new textiles primarily feature organic cotton and are manufactured in full compliance with the Global Organic Textiles Standard. In the Casablanca range of bed linen, which also forms part of the Morocco Collection, Journey Living uses 75 percent organic cotton and 25 percent circulose, which is a viscose fiber obtained entirely from discarded textiles.
The new bed linen collection is rounded off by the Hicham basket and the Faissal hammam towel. Both products were developed as a result of the partnership with Yoomee and are handmade in Morocco. ce/hs
