Fashion-Promo Tex has acquired Joko Design + Dienstleistung GmbH, based in Kassel in North Hesse, Germany. In a press release, textiles company Joko Design + Dienstleistung explains that this takeover forms part of a long-term succession plan. It does not provide any details of the purchase price.
Joko Design + Dienstleistung specializes in textiles product development. The company says that its processes, from producing a basic pattern right the way through to creating the production-ready pattern, will remain unchanged at Fashion Promo Tex AG. Oliver Becker took the helm at Joko at the start of June, and will also be Managing Director at Fashion-Promo Tex AG. Company founder Josef Koch and his wife Frauke will also remain active at Joko Design + Dienstleistung in its new home at Fashion-Promo.
Fashion-Promo Tex AG specializes in developing intelligent clothing and comprehensive clothing concepts. The Solothurn-based company’s Binergy brand offers high-tech workwear with features including heating and illumination. The Fashion-Promo Tex GmbH subsidiary in Kassel was established to meet the needs of the company’s new business in Germany. ce/hs
