Teo Jakob has launched its first rug collection, further details of which can be found in a press release. For this, the furnishings and interior design specialist has teamed up with Lantal, a company that specializes in sophisticated textiles used in airplanes and trains from Langenthal in the canton of Bern.
The carpets are therefore processed, dyed and tufted entirely in the canton of Bern. The cut floor is 100 percent made of wool and is available in five different colors. The rugs can be purchased in teo jakob stores located in Bern, Geneva and Zurich.
“We traveled to Lantal with teo jakob employees from Geneva, Bern and Zurich,” as art director Andrea Mandia reports in a video produced by teo jakob. “We chose the colors and even created the threads ourselves”, he adds. In his view, the resulting collection is a “true representation” of teo jakob.
In Lantal, teo jakob has found “the ideal partner to be able to respond flexibly to customer demands”, comments CEO Simon Flückiger in the same video. “With production activities fully located in Switzerland, we ensure regionality and top quality”. He goes on to express his pride in the new rug collection, as it “reflects core teo Jakob values: timeless quality, excellent material quality and regionality, not forgetting sustainability as well”. ce/mm
