Bühler - This spring, Tisca Tischhauser AG is launching a collection of hand-woven rugs for balconies, terraces and gardens. With this product range, the textiles specialist based in the canton of Appenzell Ausserrhoden is seeking to respond to the trend of extending living spaces outdoors.
Tisca Tischhauser is expanding its collection of textiles for outdoor applications. As the company headquartered in Bühler in the canton of Appenzell Ausserrhoden writes in a press release, it will be launching a collection of rugs to adorn balconies, terraces and gardens this spring. The products are hand-woven, easy to clean and fade resistant, while also being quick to dry. Customers can also place orders that incorporate custom design elements.
With this, the company is seeking to respond to a trend that has seen people attempt to expand their living spaces outside. “Outdoors is a multifaceted megatrend”, comments CEO Andreas Tischhauser in the press release. As a result of the coronavirus pandemic, this trend has been accentuated further. “As the aim is to expand our living area, aesthetics, style and comfort are must-haves in the new outdoors”, he adds. The challenge here is that outdoor applications place high demands on the textiles themselves.
Tisca was founded in 1940 and is already under third-generation management in the form of Andreas, Matthias and Nick Tischhauser. The textiles firm employs around 400 staff in Switzerland and its foreign-based subsidiaries.
