The business magazine Bilanz and the market research institute Statista have evaluated the general innovative capacity, production innovations and innovation culture of 185 Swiss companies overall. Among the construction and building materials companies, Impact Acoustic was ranked in top spot. The Lucerne-based textiles firm also leads the way among companies based in Central Switzerland, as Impact Acoustic explains in a press release. Across all industries nationwide, the Bern-based medtech firm Ypsomed topped the innovation ranking, just ahead of Planted Foods, the manufacturer of vegan meat alternatives which was ranked in second place overall.

“The latest example of our innovation-driven culture is the development of our just-launched ARCHISONIC Cotton material - the first and only fully circular acoustic material ever produced”, comments Sven Erni, co-founder of Impact Acoustic, in the press release. “We’re very proud of the work that has gone into bringing this material to life, proving that it is possible to achieve 100 percent circularity in our field and raising the bar not only for ourselves but for other companies in the future”, he adds. The circular fabric absorbs sound and is available in 24 natural colors.

Alongside the top innovators in Switzerland in general, the rankings also show the most innovative large companies and Swiss offshoots of major multinationals. In terms of the former, Logitech takes the top spot. When it comes to the latter, however, Microsoft is just ahead of Google. ce/hs
