Muntagnard, a fashion brand based in the canton of Graubünden, Switzerland, has entered into a partnership with iceep. This collaboration aims to integrate used textiles within the circular economy, as the company has explained in a press release. Based in Zurich, iceep has developed a solution for the takeback of items bought from lifestyle brands.

The cooperation focuses on either reusing used clothing or recycling the material used in the garments. Iceep supports textile manufacturers by arranging the return of used goods via an online portal. In this process, iceep takes back the goods that are no longer needed and organizes the next steps for potential recycling. The service for Muntagnard includes quality control, whereby a decision is made as to whether the products are sent to a second-hand market, the original company or a recycling partner.

According to the information, the partnership between two members of Swiss Textiles has the potential to demonstrate how the circular economy can be promoted. With the launch of iceep’s takeback solution in June 2024, Muntagnard’s commitment to environmentally friendly products has been strengthened once again, the press release states. ce/ww
