(CONNECT) The new spring/summer 2025 collection from lavie, the brand owned by Balsiger Textil from Langenthal in the canton of Bern, Switzerland, has been launched on the market. In a press release, the company presents the hero product of the new collection: the Frida bed linen, which comes with a Cradle to Cradle Gold certification that confirms that the products are compliant with the principles of the circular economy. According to information from Balsiger Textil, no harmful substances were used in either the materials, the dyes or the processing steps.

Other products showcased in this collection include the Tom and Tilda undyed terry towels, as well as the “airy” Linus linen bed sheets. The new collection can be combined with existing lavie textiles, the company adds.

Lavie uses linen, organic cotton, and hemp in its home textiles. According to information from the company itself, the textiles are manufactured in Portugal and Italy. In an effort to further drive the transition in the direction of sustainable textiles, Balsiger Textil, as a founding member of the Circular Clothing Cooperative, has reportedly collaborated with partners to certify its entire supply chain in Portugal in accordance with Cradle to Cradle standards.

According to the press release, Balsiger Textil has also been certified in line with the Global Organic Textiles Standard (GOTS) since 2019, while the company has been committed to the Sustainable Textiles Switzerland 2030 program since the start of 2022. Moreover, it has been a GRS-certified company (Global Recycled Standard) since the fall of 2023. ce/gba
