Swiss Olympic has presented the Swiss Olympic Team Collection Paris 2024. The Swiss sport umbrella organization and National Olympic Committee has worked on this with On, the Zurich-based manufacturer of premium sport shoes and clothing, and the largest Swiss sports retailer, Ochsner Sport from Dietikon in the canton of Zurich.

According to a press release from Swiss Olympic, the entire collection was designed and developed at On Labs in Zurich. The 24 items include sports clothing as well as caps and bags. Everything is available now at On and Ochsner Sport, in stores and online, except for the outfits for the opening and closing ceremonies.

According to Swiss Olympic, this collection focuses on sustainability, quality, and esthetic and innovative design. The information provided states that the items of clothing are created from organic or recycled materials where possible. For example, in collaboration with the company Round Rivers, plastic from Swiss rivers has been processed into yarn and used to produce the ceremony jackets.

Most of the upper body items feature white as the basic color. A striking color gradient inspired by the coats of arms of the 26 cantons is printed on them. This embodies the Swiss motto for the Olympic Games “United4Excellence” and aims to symbolize both Switzerland’s diversity and unity.

Thilo Alex Brunner, On’s Chief Design Officer, commented: “When designing the collection, we focused on an innovative approach and functionality.” He added that the team counted on feedback from athletes for this “so that they can feel good and give it their all in Paris.” ce/mm
