(CONNECT) Mover has announced that its Ventile Shell+ jacket has won a Red Dot Award. According to a press release issued by the pioneering brand for plastic-free sports apparel based in Lausanne, the jacket has been awarded for its exceptional performance across all relevant categories. The international design competition is regarded as one of the most prestigious in the world.
The award ceremony is set to take place during the Red Dot Gala, with an audience of 1,200 guests from the international design scene expected to be in attendance at the opera house in Essen, Germany on July 8, 2025. The victorious products will be exhibited in the Red Dot Design Museum on the site of the decommissioned coal mine Zeche Zollverein.
The Ventile Shell+ jacket was developed exclusively on the basis of natural fibers and forgoes all synthetic and toxic materials, including plastic membranes, PFCs, PFAS and microplastics. The jacket is made from high-density, Swiss-made, water-repellent Ventile cotton fabric and is lined with ultrafine, temperature-regulating Merino wool. For enhanced moisture protection, key areas such as the shoulders feature a seamless construction, which, according to the company, offers weather resistance, breathability and warmth in a garment that is entirely free of petroleum-based textiles.
“We are incredibly honored”, says Nicolas Rochat, Founder of Mover. “This achievement underscores our belief that sustainability and performance should never be mutually exclusive, but complement each other. The Ventile Shell+ proves that natural materials can meet the highest standards of outdoor performance, while also protecting the planet”. ce/mm
