Amriswil - ISA bodywear’s production site in Portugal has received the SteP certificate from Oeko-Tex. This means some of the products from the textile company based in Amriswil in the canton of Thurgau can bear the Made in Green label. This stands for environmentally friendly and socially responsible production.

ISA bodywear can display the Made in Green label on some of its underwear, daywear, and nightwear products. The company’s production site Jerisa Lda. in Portugal has “successfully passed the audit for Oeko-Tex’s STeP certificate” according to a press release from Sallmann AG, the owner of the ISA bodywear brand. STeP certifies that the textile or leather products created at a production site are produced using environmentally friendly processes and with socially responsible working conditions.

This means that ISA bodywear’s textiles bearing the Made in Green label are free from harmful substances and created under fair working conditions. The label gives interested parties “the opportunity to choose products that are both ecologically and ethically safe” according to the family-owned company from Amriswil. Moreover, Sallmann AG has expanded its photovoltaic system at the production site. The press release states: “We are delighted to now be able to cover 100 percent of the required process energy with our own solar panels.” hs
