(CONNECT) TESTEX and the FutureWear Group have jointly founded the TESTEX Academy powered by FutureWear Group. According to a press release, the training platform equips decision-makers from the clothing and textile industry with the requisite knowledge on EU sustainability regulations to successfully navigate this new regulatory environment.

TESTEX is an independent, global testing and certification organization based in Zurich. It is also a founding member of OEKO-TEX. The FutureWear Group was likewise founded in Zurich in 2023. The consulting company focuses on sustainability transformations and technological innovations with regard to supply chains.

According to the tender procedure, the certification program offered by the two partners is aimed at every team member at manufacturers, brands and supply chain stakeholders, “from operational to C-level”. This first program takes eight hours to complete. Assessments and guided reflections are planned for the seamless integration of the weekly modules, with the workload amounting to between two and three hours in each case over the course of eight weeks.

The course program offers a combination of theoretical knowledge and practical insights into various key areas. These include the circular economy, waste regulation and the European Supply Chain Directive, which are covered in the form of interviews, case studies and actionable strategies. Participants in this certification course will receive access to content from reputable representatives of the textile industry as well as experts in the fields of sustainability and compliance. ce/mm
