QWSTION moves to Limmatstrasse

QWSTION is now located on Limmatstrasse in Zurich, Switzerland. The design studio specializing in everyday bags made from plant fibers had to leave its old location on Hohlstrasse in Zurich due to a complete refurbishment. According to a press release from QWSTION, which was founded in 2008, the company plans to create a place for exchanges at the new shop on Limmatstrasse, “where questions can be posed and answers discovered (in the form of products).”

The new shop also aims to convey QWSTION’s mindset and approach, which link functionality with a timeless esthetic. All installations and furniture are made entirely from recycled or regenerative materials. Lush plants emphasize the design studio’s proximity to nature. This means that decorative finishes and fabrics have been avoided as QWSTION “wants to convey transparency, not only through communication elements but also through the material choice.”

All bags and everyday items created by QWSTION are designed for the circular economy. The company has also developed a circular and completely biodegradable textile made from regeneratively farmed banana plants. The press release adds that QWSTION’s Bananatex is “freely available for any companies that would like to replace plastics with plants.” ce/hs
