(CONNECT) Carpasus GmbH is seeking to set a positive example for the responsible use of resources. In this vein, the St.Gallen-based shirt brand has launched a special collection by the name of Carbasina: The range comprises a limited edition selection of shirts, all made from leftover materials from past samples and production runs, as Carpasus explains in a press release.
“There are tons of high-quality fabrics stashed away in the warehouses of clothing manufacturers – unused, often forgotten, or even destroyed later on”, as Carpasus founder and Managing Director René Grünenfelder explains in the press release. “We also often have a few meters of fabric left over when developing collections, and it would be a shame for this to go to waste”, he adds.
The shirts in the Carbasina collection are available exclusively through the Carpasus online shop. The eight colorful and summery styles, made from organic cotton or linen, are limited to between six and a maximum of 14 pieces in each case. Each shirt features the trademark Carpasus logo, a green duck, embroidered on the sleeve slit. The name Carbasina reportedly refers to a lightweight cotton or linen fabric that was used in ancient times. ce/hs
