The jury for the Building-Award 2023 has nominated a total of 22 projects for the fifth edition of the Building-Award, further details of which can be found in a press release. TTS Inova AG, headquartered in Thayngen in the canton of Schaffhausen, has been nominated in the category of Research and Development and Start-ups.

The company impressed the jury with its special textile-based geothermal probe, which is food-safe and uses only drinking water as the fluid for heat transfer processes, according to the press release. As such, it can also be used in areas with groundwater deposits due to the fact that it poses no risk of groundwater contamination. The TTS Inova probe can be used at depths of up to 500 meters.

This year’s Building-Award will be presented on June 15 at KKL Luzern. The award recognizes innovative engineering achievements in the construction sector. Organizations behind the award include the Stiftung bilding foundation, Infra Suisse, the Swiss Association of Consulting Engineering Firms (USIC) and the Swiss Contractors’ Association (SBV). All 22 nominated companies and their respective projects can be viewed online. ssp
