Zurich - From January 2026, Fabric Loop will have a Managing Director in Simone Alabor, who has been involved in leading roles in the circular economy for many years. Her focus will now be on securing recognition for Fabric Loop as an industry organization from the Federal Council.

(CONNECT) With effect from January 2026, the business activities of Fabric Loop will be handled by Simone Alabor. This news was announced in a press release, in which the experience and entrepreneurial expertise of the association’s new Managing Director was highlighted. Alabor studied business administration and marketing at the University of St.Gallen and has been active in the Swiss circular economy for more than a decade now.

According to the press release, Simone Alabor helped to establish the recycling service provider Mr. Green, in addition to launching and managing collections of liquid packaging boards. The press release also highlights her role at RecyPac in particular. She most recently served as Vice President of the new industry organization for plastic packaging and beverage cartons.

“I am looking forward to this new role. In 2026, we will grow further and accelerate efforts to secure recognition as an industry organization from the Federal Council”, Simone Alabor states. She also mentioned that her remit will involve preparing the operational implementation.

According to information from Fabric Loop, its mission is to establish a functional circular system for textiles. As a privately run, non-profit industry organization, Fabric Loop is working on a Swiss solution while at the same time coordinating with European initiatives. The association is supported by numerous organizations such as Swiss Textiles and Swiss Recycle, while companies such as Calida, Mammut, and Odlo also form part of the alliance. ce/yvh
