(CONNECT) CWS Workwear made additional progress in the area of sustainability in 2025, as detailed in a statement covering the publication of the company’s Responsibility Report 2025/26. According to the report, the workwear supplier achieved an EcoVadis Gold medal, which puts CWS Workwear among the “top five percent of companies worldwide”. EcoVadis evaluates companies based on ESG (environmental, social, and governance) criteria.

In addition, CWS Workwear points out that the company as a whole has achieved a share of 81 percent in the use of renewable electricity. Water is reused or recycled in 90 percent of its laundries, while a recycling or reuse rate of 55 percent is cited for workwear. Energy efficiency projects are estimated to have saved at least 5,911 megawatt hours of electricity per year.

“In 2025, we grew at a record pace, investing and expanding strategically. Sustainability and responsibility have become even more integral to our business strategy. They strengthen our business resilience, competitiveness, and long-term trust”, comments Hartmut Engler, CEO of CWS Workwear, in the statement.

The German company is active in 15 countries, including as CWS Workwear Schweiz AG based in Wil in the Swiss canton of St.Gallen. ce/jh
