(CONNECT) Textile manufacturer Création Baumann is celebrating its 140th anniversary this year. Founded in 1886, the Langenthal-based family business has since evolved from a producer of linen and half-linen fabrics into a creative designer of home and commercial textiles, as the company highlights in a statement.
In the 1950s, the company created vibrant interior textiles that stepped into the spotlight. It set new functional standards for interior design with the introduction of vertical blinds in the 1970s. Currently, the company offers innovative technologies in room acoustics, such as the ACOUSTIC DIVIDER VARIO and the ABSORBER RECYCLED acoustic panels.
“For me, innovation is a matter of mindset. We constantly ask ourselves, ‘How can we use our textile solutions to enhance people’s wellbeing in spaces?’ At the same time, we systematically seek out innovative technological possibilities that enable new solutions,” commented Philipp Baumann, the company’s managing director and owner in the fourth generation.
The Création Baumann team is currently working on a revamped new collection of glare and heat protection solutions for offices and residential interiors. ce/ww
