(CONNECT) FREITAG launched three new crossbody bags made from recycled materials on 15 October. The F275 TILDA, dubbed the “business punk beauty” in a FREITAG product description, can be worn as a large crossbody bag, over the shoulder, or by the contrasting handles. The bag, which measures 410 x 35 x 390 millimeters, features a spacious zippered main compartment and a textile inner pocket with a button closure, making it suitable for tablets and laptops up to 14 inches. The F275 TILDA is made from 90 per cent recycled materials.
Smaller, but with an additional “secret” pocket, is the F272 EDDIE. The model can be carried as a crossbody bag or shoulder bag, and features a zippered main compartment, a textile inner compartment, and a hidden pocket with a snap fastener for easy access to important items. The bag, which measures 250 x 25 x 160 millimeters, is made from 67 per cent recycled PET bottles and truck tarpaulins.
Rounding off the trio is the F274 RUBY, offering flexible volume, which can be worn as a crossbody bag, shoulder bag, or handbag. In addition to a zippered main compartment, the RUBY has two textile inner compartments, measures 260 x 35 x 250 millimeters, and is made from 87 per cent discarded car seat belts, used truck tarpaulins, and recycled PET bottles.
“The three bags combine FREITAG’s core values, a bold design language and sophisticated versatility,” Giulia Chehab, Holistic Designer at FREITAG, is quoted as saying. For the promotional film for the three bags, the Zurich-based manufacturer once again teamed up with the film producers at zweihund in Winterthur, who used partly surreal images to showcase the bags’ versatility, according to a statement from FREITAG. ce/ja
