Techtextil 2026 in Frankfurt ends today, Friday, after four days. Every two years, the product group at the leading international trade fair presents the entire value chain in the field of technical textiles, nonwovens and apparel textiles.

Swiss Textiles was once again on site in the SWISS Pavilion , where 16 members exhibited their innovations and made valuable contacts.

The Techtextil Forum also took place as part of the trade fair. At the ideas platform, experts shared their knowledge during specialist presentations and panel discussions.

Swiss Textiles members win award

An international jury of experts selected top ideas in textile technology, sustainability, AI and the creation of technical textiles in seven categories and presented the Innovation Award. One of the winners was Swiss Textiles member Bäumlin & Ernst.

With their new EC0Tex process, both non-elastic and highly elastic yarns can be given a durable, water-repellent and quick-drying finish without PFAS and fresh water. The project partners are Empa St. Gallen and Swiss Textiles member Seilerei Ullmann.

The development emerged from the Subitex network, the research initiative of Swiss Textiles with Empa St. Gallen. Click here for the article.
