(CONNECT) Hugo Boss has launched its limited edition range THE CHANGE, as was reported in a press release from AeoniQ. The company in Schlieren was founded by HeiQ Materials from the same municipality in the canton of Zurich. In summer 2025, HeiQ sold a majority stake in AeoniQ to Altri from Porto, Portugal.

AeoniQ has developed the world’s first climate-positive, biodegradable cellulosic filament yarn, as a potential replacement for polyester and nylon. This two-layer AeoniQ performance fabric was used by Hugo Boss to craft THE CHANGE. AeoniQ, which has been nominated for a Fair Fashion Award, proclaims that this marks a new chapter for the company. They are reportedly proud to see years of research and collaboration come to life on the sales floor.

Hugo Boss offers THE CHANGE products online and in selected stores worldwide. The fabric can be authenticated and traced by means of NFC (Near Field Communication) technology. The relevant technology is being provided by collectID from Winterthur, sold under its brand ZATAP. However, it not only serves authenticity, with companies like Hugo Boss able to use it for boosting customer loyalty. It allows buyers of THE CHANGE products to share feedback and submit requests for future product features. ce/jh
