HeiQ and Archroma earn recognition for collaboration

(CONNECT) HeiQ and Archroma have earned recognition from the International Textile Manufacturers Federation (ITMF) in the shape of the ITMF International Collaboration Award 2026. According to a statement issued by HeiQ, these two Swiss innovators have been awarded this accolade for the exceptional quality of their collaboration, which is said to advance innovation, sustainability and competitiveness across the global textile industry.

This collaboration between the deeptech company for material innovations based in Schlieren in the Swiss canton of Zurich and the globally active chemicals group headquartered in Pratteln in the Swiss canton of Basel-Landschaft puts textile manufacturers, brands and retailers around the world in a position to utilize next-generation antimicrobial and anti-odor technologies through “a unique combination of innovation, technical expertise, and global market reach”. The supplier of specialty chemicals employs more than 4,000 staff in 42 countries and operates over 30 production facilities.

The two companies had announced their collaboration in January 2026: “Together with Archroma’s extensive network and expertise, we are scaling our technologies globally, ensuring that brands and mills can access functional, sustainable solutions that enhance product performance while lowering environmental impact”, HeiQ wrote.

Now, Dhirendra Gautam, Vice President Marketing at Archroma, sums up as follows: “This recognition from ITMF validates our belief that innovation has greater impact when it is made accessible at scale”. In the words of Raquel Vaz Vieira, Executive Vice President of HeiQ Advanced Materials, this award “is not only a recognition of what has been achieved so far, but also an encouragement to continue pushing the boundaries of sustainable textile innovation”.

HeiQ, which was spun-off from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich in 2005, is headquartered at the IJZ, an innovation and start-up park located in Schlieren, and is also a member of Start Smart Schlieren. ce/mm
