(CONNECT) The furniture store Micasa is launching the limited-edition CIAO collection in collaboration with the international fashion designer Sonnhild Kestler. Inspired by “sunbeams gliding through clouds and raindrops dripping off flowers”, according to the manufacturer the products promise to “make every routine moment extraordinary”.
As the company writes in a press release, the pattern compositions convey a sense of “lightness and a springtime mood” in every home. The collection includes 52 home accessories and small furniture items. These will be available exclusively in all Micasa stores and online at micasa.ch from April 10.
Kestler came up with the idea for the designs, which feature her typically colorful style imbued with an “archaic, ethno-artisanal character” while riding her moped, which bears the name CIAO.
The “magic of nature” is said to flow into the patterns: “Sunbeams become graphical striped patterns, while fields full of flowers are depicted on colorful cushion covers and raindrops are transformed into pattern compositions”. Among other aspects, the design elements are used for outdoor rugs made from recycled PET, flowerpots, and parasols from the Micasa range. ce/heg
