(CONNECT) Fischbacher 1819 and the architect Giuliano Andrea dell'Uva have decorated the restaurant a-Ma-Re Capri with fabrics from their joint collection entitled Capri as part of the NOMAD Circle St.Moritz 2025 event. The luxurious fabrics for both interiors and exteriors were “inspired by the island of Capri and its Golden Age”, as the globally active supplier of furnishing fabrics, carpets and wallpapers from St.Gallen explains in a press release. The fabrics used for this installation, which was specially developed for the traveling exhibition for contemporary art and collectible design, featured geometric and botanical patterns that were “impressively staged”.
The travelling exhibition NOMAD was founded in 2017 by Giorgio Pace and Nicolas Bellavance-Lecompte and takes place in a different location every year. Each event brings together galleries, curated exhibitions and special projects. The NOMAD Circle St.Moritz 2025 took place February 20-23 at the former Klinik Gut in St.Moritz in the canton of Graubünden, Switzerland. The a-Ma-Re Capri restaurant served as a “place for gallery owners and collectors to meet”, according to Fischbacher 1819. The Otto Fischbacher/Giovanni Segantini Foundation, which goes back to the grandson of the company founder Christian Fischbacher, has also been involved with the Segantini Museum in St.Moritz for quite a while now. ce/hs
