(CONNECT) To celebrate the 40th anniversary of manufacturing its Cotton Seamless Spaghetti Top, the underwear producer Hanro with headquarters in Opfikon in the canton of Zurich is launching a new edition of the soft textile. Nicola Kidman turned the top into a style icon in the movie Eyes Wide Shut. According to an announcement, the company plans to link the recently launched special edition to the successful sales at the turn of the century.

Cotton Seamless is being issued in three limited special editions; a design with golden chain straps, a color block style with satin edging, and one created using a tie-dye fabric are available. All items are certified OEKO-TEX Standard 100.

Christiane Braun, Head of Product Management & Design at Hanro, commented in the announcement: “Since being launched in 1985, this top has won the hearts of customers worldwide and has established itself as an essential item of clothing in women’s wardrobes.” The new release of the product will be accompanied by an international media campaign, publication of its own print magazine, a collaboration with ELLE, and numerous online competitions.

Hanro was founded by Albert Handschin and Carl Ronus in Liestal in the Swiss canton of Basel-Landschaft in 1884. Today, it is part of the Huber Group, which is based in Götzis in the Austrian state of Vorarlberg. ce/ww
