(CONNECT) Jakob Schlaepfer and Forster Willi, two fashion houses owned by the Forster Group, have also presented fabric and embroidery designs at the Haute Couture Spring 2025 and the Fall-Winter 2025/26 Ready-to-Wear show, as the two companies write in a joint press release.
Forster Willi developed five creations for Dior at the Haute Couture Spring in addition to an exclusive design for Chanel. Three additional fabric compositions were developed by the creative department at Jakob Schlaepfer on behalf of Chanel.
At the Fall-Winter 2025/26 Ready-to-Wear show, Forster Willi developed ten creations for Cecilie Bahnsen, with the company also creating an exclusive embroidery design for Coperni. The designers, Sébastien Meyer and Arnaud Vaillant, took their inspiration from the origins of the electronic era by transforming the flickering of old tube screens into a kind of textile illusion, as the press release explains. Jakob Schlaepfer created two looks with shimmering sequin embroidery elements for a Broderie anglaise design for Christopher Esber. For the Chanel cashmere fabric creation, the company used die-cut sequin foil with a specially developed matte lacquer coating. As the press release states, the “subtle elegance” of the overall designed ensures that “only the delicate CC logo shines”.
“This season, you can feel that designers are posing profound, spiritual questions – at the same time as expressing a need for optimism and lightness”, comments Elisheva Senn, Creative Director of Forster Willi. “Our task is not only to follow these developments, but to actively shape them”, explains Fabio Di Silvio, Managing Director of Jakob Schlaepfer. ce/ww
